Ultimate BBQ Recipe: Pork Ribs
This recipe for BBQ pork ribs will make the meat fall off the bone and make people want more.
Recipe below is for two racks of pork:
Ingredients
FOR PORK RUB:
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 2 teaspoon of chilli powder
- 2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
- Pinch of dried oregano
- 2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
INGREDIENTS FOR BBQ SAUCE
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of chilli powder
- 3-4 cloves of garlic (finely diced)
- 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Combine all ingredients of the sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and allow to cool.
- Remove the membrane on the ribs (bone side)
- Pat dry the ribs with paper towels
- Pour the rub on either side of the ribs, evenly
- Wrap the ribs in two sheets of tin foil each
- Leave to marinate overnight, but three to four hours will do
- Preheat oven or hooded BBQ to 150 degrees
- Bake ribs in the tinfoil for two hours
- Remove from the oven or BBQ
- Heat BBQ grill to medium heat
- Brush BBQ sauce on both sides of the meat and grill for five minutes on each side
- Repeat step 11
- Allow to rest and serve with homemade BBQ sauce
