Recipe: Baked Chicken Maryland

  • 1.5kg Export Meat Warehouse Chicken Maryland


  • 30g butter
  • 1/2 capsicum, any colour, diced
  • 3-4 tablespoons flour
  • 300ml cream


.    Grease a baking tray and place the chicken on the tray. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C until cooked thoroughly; about 20 minutes; cut the chicken in half to check.
.    Sauce: Melt the margarine in a large saucepan then add the diced capsicum and cook for 3-4 minutes.
.    Stir in the flour and remove from the heat. Gradually stir in the cream and seasoning.
.    Return to the heat and cook until thickened, stirring continuously but do not allow the sauce to boil.
.    Serve the chicken and sauce with boiled rice.
